Balvenie Second Red Rose 21 years old Single Malt Scotch whisky 700ml
The Balvenie Single Malt Whisky is made from fresh, plump barley grown on Balvenie Mains, a 1,000 acre farm situated adjacent to the distillery. After the barley is harvested, it is malted at the distillery with spring water sourced from the rolling Speyside hills that overlook the distillery.
The Second Red Rose is a real work of art — finished in Australian Shiraz, bottled at 48.1% ABV, and offering an enticing sensation of blackberry, ripe peaches, woody spice, and cracked black pepper.
On the nose, this whisky boasts an intense fragrance of ripe fruits, specifically fresh mango, paired with robust earthy tones. These aromas are accompanied by subtle hints of oak. On the palate, the initial taste hits you with a burst of sweetness from blackberry and ripe peach, giving way to flavors of vibrant oak and a hint of cracked black pepper. This whisky finishes with a gentle, woody spice and lingering notes of oakiness.
