The 1924 Double Black Whiskey Barrel Aged Zinfandel is a full-bodied, intensely flavored red wine from the Lodi region of California. Inspired by the Prohibition era, this "rule-breaking" wine is characterized by its unique aging process in whiskey barrels, which imparts distinct smoky and spirit-forward notes.

Tasting Notes


Appearance: A deep, dark opaque robe with a garnet rim.
Aromas: Strong scents of blackberry, mocha, caramel, and vanilla, often accompanied by hints of coffee, leather, tobacco, and raisins.
Palate: A robust and adventurous palate featuring ripe blue fruits and raisins, layered with warm cinnamon and toasted oak.
Finish: Smooth and silky with soft, ripe tannins and a dry finish that may include a slight, fleeting citrus bitterness.
