The Singleton of Dufftown 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700mL) is a rare and exceptionally smooth expression from the Dufftown Distillery in Speyside, Scotland. It is crafted using the "Trinity Cask Harmony" process, which involves maturing the whisky for 21 years in three distinct cask types—Oloroso-seasoned Pedro Ximénez casks, refill ex-bourbon casks, and finally marrying them in European Oak casks.
Tasting notes
Nose: Sophisticated and fruity with aromas of honey ginger, sherry-soaked peaches, and Christmas compote. Some notes also suggest baked apples and polished oak.
Palate: Sweet, rich, and creamy-smooth. It features layers of berry fruit, treacle toffee, fudge, and burnt orange.
Finish: A long, dry finish with hints of smoke, fruit compote, and a lingering touch of red berries.
