Description
The Jura 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700mL) is a smooth, balanced island whisky known for bridging the gap between Highland sweetness and subtle island smoke. Re-launched in 2018 as a core part of the Jura range, it is matured for a full 12 years to create a more "muscular" and intense profile compared to its 10-year-old predecessor.
Tasting notes
Nose: Warm honey, vanilla, and soft citrus (dried apricot and orange peel) mixed with toasted walnut and a faint wisp of woodfire smoke.
Palate: A creamy mouthfeel with notes of brown sugar, salted bananas, toffee sauce, and milk chocolate, underpinned by a touch of black pepper and barrel char.
Finish: Long and warming, fading into a gentle peat smoke with lingering notes of sherry-soaked raisins, roasted coffee, and a hint of mint.
