The Famous Grouse Sherry Oak Blended Scotch Whisky (700mL, 40% ABV) is a rich and smooth expression that is married or finished in sherry casks seasoned in Jerez, Spain, imparting notes of dark chocolate, almonds, dried fruits, and sweet spices.
Flavor Profile
Nose: A balanced and inviting aroma of poached pears, fresh orange, cherry blossom, and moist sultanas, intermingled with sweet cinnamon and ginger spice. There are also notes of warm candied nuts, biscuity malt, and baked apples.
Taste: Smooth in texture and rich in character, the palate offers a combination of oaky vanilla, dark chocolate, maple syrup, toasted almonds, and hazelnuts. Sweetly spiced biscuits, stewed fruit, and creamy malt are also prominent.
Finish: Rich and smooth, with a long, sweet spice finish. Lingering notes of dried fruits in Christmas cake and a touch of nuttiness round it out.
