Blended Irish Whiskey, 40% ABV - Northern Ireland
The recipe for this Irish whiskey combines single malt and a lighter grain whiskey, which provides it with a smooth and warming flavour at the first hit that has been enjoyed for generations for many years. Bushmills Original has been matured in both sherry and bourbon casks to which the drink owes its vanilla and fruit taste. Best enjoyed with some ice or as part of the “Bushmills Highball” cocktail.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Light and inviting with aromas of fresh grain, vanilla, honey, and a subtle hint of fruitiness, such as green apple or pear.
Palate: Exceptionally smooth and balanced, with flavors of vanilla, toasted wood, and a touch of honey sweetness. Notes of green apple, gentle spice, and a hint of toasted cereal.
Finish: A crisp, clean, and fresh finish with subtle oak warmth and a lingering touch of spice, such as cardamom or ginger.
