Description
Singleton Dufftown 15 is aged in European & American oak barrels. This 15 year old single malt scotch whisky is matured in a high proportion of American oak casks with a small portion of European oak casks to balance the liquid. The result is an easy to enjoy single malt with delicious citrus aromas, smooth fruity palate and a well balanced slightly spicy finish.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Delicate and inviting with aromas of honey, green apple, and toasted hazelnut. You may also detect hints of toffee apple, honeycomb, and a light floral note reminiscent of scented tea.
Palate: Silky and layered. Initial sweetness from orchard fruits and golden syrup transitions into notes of vanilla cream, buttery fruit cake, and gentle toasted oak. It features a medium body that is pleasantly mouth-coating.
Finish: Medium-length and clean. It leaves a lingering sweetness with a touch of dry oak, soft spice (like aniseed), and a warming, nutty aftertaste.
