The Chivas Regal Mizunara Blended Scotch Whisky 700mL is a unique expression that marries Scottish craft with Japanese tradition, achieved by selectively finishing a portion of the blend in rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks. This results in an exceptionally smooth and mellow whisky with a delicate, spicy finish.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich and fruity, with prominent notes of pear and orange, sometimes described as white peach and vanilla-rich cream.
Palate: Smooth and rich, offering honeyed sweetness, notes of ripe pear, butterscotch, and a trace of hazelnut or toasted almonds. Hints of baking spices, like cinnamon, provide balance.
Finish: Long and complex, with a subtle yet distinctive touch of Mizunara spice, a hint of aniseed, and a lingering impression of sandalwood from the rare oak.
