The Tottori Bourbon Barrel Blended Japanese Whisky (700mL) is a premium spirit produced by the Matsui Distillery (Matsui Shuzo) in the Tottori Prefecture of Japan. This non-chill filtered blend is crafted as a tribute to the distillery’s home province and is characterized by its use of soft groundwater from Mount Daisen to achieve a smooth, balanced profile.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Prominent aromas of roasted corn, vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak, with fruity notes of cherry, peach, and citrus peel.
Palate: A rich, oily texture featuring sweet flavors of butterscotch, caramel, and honey, balanced by spices like cinnamon and ginger, and a hint of earthy smoke.
Finish: Medium to long and warming, with lingering notes of white grape, oak tannin, and icing sugar sweetness.
