Montelobos Espadín Mezcal is an artisanal, organic joven (unaged) spirit from Oaxaca, Mexico, known for its complex yet perfect balance of green agave, cooked agave, smoke, and wild fermentation notes. It is made from 100% organically certified Espadín agave using traditional methods.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Crystalline with "pearl sparkles".
Nose: Intense yet balanced aromas of damp earth, fresh-cut grass, honey, citrus, and smoke, with hints of asparagus and green bell pepper.
Palate: Smooth, structured, and complex, it offers a perfect balance between cooked and green agave, with layers of nuts, herbs, cocoa, and dried fruit, all wrapped in a subtle smokiness.
Finish: The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of mango brightness, green pepper warmth, dark chocolate echoes, a delicate mineral streak, and a soft, smoky embrace.
