The Balvenie 14 Year Caribbean Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a smooth, honeyed Speyside whisky that is aged in traditional oak casks for 14 years before being finished in casks that previously held a blend of select West Indian rums. This unique finishing process imparts rich, sweet notes of toffee, vanilla, and tropical fruits to the whisky's character.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich, sweet, and creamy toffee combines with notes of fresh fruits, such as mango, pineapple, and candied lemon, along with hints of vanilla and oak spice.
Palate: It is rounded and smooth, featuring flavors of vanilla, sweet oak, caramel, and tropical fruits (like apple, dried banana, and passionfruit). A gentle spice, such as nutmeg or allspice, may also develop over time.
Finish: The finish is soft and lingering, with warm vanilla and oak spice gradually fading to a sweet, tropical fade.
