The GlenDronach 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky known for its rich, sherried profile. It's matured for at least 12 years in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, resulting in a sweet, creamy, and indulgent dram.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Vanilla cream, rich cereals, struck match, raisin, cinnamon, caramelised sugar. Some sweeter PX notes and delicious raw ginger can be detected initially, with a creamier hazelnut flavor developing.
Taste: Rich, creamy, and silky-smooth with warm, rich oak and sherry sweetness. The sherry casks impart notes of dried fruit and cakey spices.
Finish: Long, warm, and indulgent, with lingering notes of sherry-soaked fruits and spices, fading into a satisfyingly elegant dryness.
